Monaghan GAA All Star Appreciation Night – Proud night for our Club Legend Ciaran Murray

It was a pleasure to attend Monaghan GAA All Star Appreciation night in the Four Season’s Hotel in Monaghan last evening. All 10 of Monaghan’s GAA Stars where honoured for the legendary status and honour of been selected as an All Star at least once during their distinguished careers.

The club was proudly represented by our very own Captain Fantastic Ciaran Murray who was accompanied by his lovely wife Mary and joined at our club table by proud Clones GAA club members to mark this prestigious occasion.

The event was hosted by the excellent Gráinne McElwain Scotstown native and well known TG4 presenter and current GAA Plus host. Notable attendees included, Uachtarán CLG Jarlath Burns and Uachtarán Comhairle Uladh Michael Geoghegan as well current and past Monaghan management and legendary players.

Clones GAA was privileged to have both Ciaran & Brendan as part of that great period in Monaghan Football which culminated with Ciaran receiving his All-Star Award in 1985. A memorable event which will be long remembered by all those in attendance. We are absolutely trilled and delighted for Ciaran receiving this recognition and honoured to have shared last night’s occasion with our Club Legend.

A huge thanks to Monaghan GAA County for a very enjoyable evening in particular Chathaoirleach Declan Flanagan, Oifigeach Pleanála & Oiliúna Michael Carroll and the wonderful coverage of the night provided by An Oifigeach Cumarsáide Mary McEneaney.

Congratulations Ciaran we are all very proud of you!!

Thank you and appreciation to Clones GAA native Seamus McQuillan (MonoPix) for the fantastic photos.
